The background
I'm a materials scientist by training — PhD from the University of Tübingen, research on graphene-based transparent electrodes at the Natural and Medical Sciences Institute — who spent several years at the intersection of deep-tech science and commercial product strategy at Springer Nature, before making a full pivot into science communication consulting.
In 2018, I founded The Science Talk, a science communication platform built around the conviction that researchers deserve better tools for talking about their work. Over the past seven years, I've grown it from a side project into a business with four product lines, an official EIC partnership, and a podcast that has reached scientists in 20+ countries.
Since late 2025, I've been adding a second specialisation: AI integration and automation. Not as a generalist tool coach, but with a specific focus on the operational infrastructure that research organisations need to work efficiently — proposal workflows, communication pipelines, content systems — built with Claude API and Make.
I work in English and German, hold a Mini-MBA in Marketing from Marketing Week, and have been recognised with the IOP Award for Innovative Public Engagement across UK and Europe.
What I do
AI Integration & Automation
Building AI-powered operational workflows for research organisations — proposal pipelines, content systems, training infrastructure — using Claude API and Make. Focused on durable, institution-grade implementation, not one-off experiments.

End-to-end dissemination strategy and communication work packages for Horizon Europe consortia. Proposal writing, KPI frameworks, reporting deliverables, and partner relations — backed by €32M+ in grant budgets supported as official EIC partner.
See portfolio →Training & Keynotes
Workshops and keynote sessions for researchers at all career stages — personal branding, science communication strategy, AI for scientists. Delivered at DTU Denmark, University of Sheffield, NTU Singapore, EPFL/ETH Zurich doctoral school, Max Planck Institute, and more.

I founded and run The Science Talk — a science communication platform for the European research community. It hosts Under the Microscope, a podcast exploring materials science and nanotechnology with 249 episodes, 130+ scientist guests, and over 1 million views across 20+ countries.
The Science Talk is also where I publish analysis on AI in research, EIC funding trends, and science communication strategy — all written from inside the research ecosystem, not outside it.

Let's work together
I work with European research institutions, EIC-funded companies, and Horizon Europe consortia on science communication, AI integration, and grant dissemination. If that sounds like your situation, I'd like to hear from you.
