Izzy Jayasinghe was a UKRI Future Leaders Fellow and Lecturer at the University of Leeds when we recorded this episode. She is now an Associate Professor at UNSW Sydney, recruited in 2023 as Head of the Department of Molecular Medicine in the School of Biomedical Sciences. Her Signalling Nanodomains Laboratory combines the super-resolution microscopy tools it develops with existing technologies to study how cell signals trigger a heartbeat and drive other bodily functions.
