About the guest

Tim Dreier is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies, Sandia National Laboratory, USA, making tiny magnets to study how they behave and how they can be used. Earlier work covered polymers containing tiny gold particles and how gold forms ultra-small clusters in solution, including a study of the claimed catalyst Au25(SR)18. He started graduate school as an organic chemist and was a postdoc at Los Alamos.

Tim Dreier curated the Real Scientists Nano Twitter account (@RealSci_Nano) from December 16 to December 21 2019. Read all of Tim’s tweets from that week.
