The Magic of Nanocrystals with Andrew Pun
About the guest
Andrew Pun is a Postdoctoral Fellow at ETH Zurich, Switzerland, working on nanocrystals, whose small size confines electrons and holes and gives them unusual properties. A PhD highlight at Columbia applied triplet upconversion, turning red light into higher-energy light, to photocatalysis. He did his undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley, starting research at the Molecular Foundry at Berkeley Lab.
Andrew Pun curated the Real Scientists Nano Twitter account (@RealSci_Nano) from April 19 to April 25 2021. Read all of Andrew’s tweets from that week.
