About the guest
Andres Castellanos-Gomez is a Tenured Scientist at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), Spain, where his group isolates and characterises new two-dimensional materials for optoelectronic and nanomechanical applications. In 2017 he won an ERC Starting Grant to build optoelectronic devices, such as photodetectors, whose properties users can tune by mechanical deformation. He was previously a tenure-track researcher at IMDEA Nanoscience.
Andres Castellanos-Gomez curated the Real Scientists Nano Twitter account (@RealSci_Nano) from December 14 to December 20 2020. Read all of Andres’s tweets from that week.
