Phase Change Materials-from DVDs to Tunable Photonics with Ann-Katrin Michel
About the guest
Ann-Katrin Michel was a Lecturer at ETH Zurich, Switzerland, at the time of recording, moving to TU Eindhoven as Assistant Professor. The research covers phase-change materials, which switch between amorphous and crystalline states with large changes in refractive index and electrical resistance, and their use in tunable photonics, a field where Ann-Katrin was among the first to publish. She studied at RWTH Aachen in Germany.
Ann-Katrin Michel curated the Real Scientists Nano Twitter account (@RealSci_Nano) from March 8 to March 14 2021. Read all of Ann-Katrin’s tweets from that week.
