Gregor Fuhrmann led a junior research group at the Helmholtz Institute for Pharmaceutical Research Saarland when we recorded this episode. Since 2021 he has held the Chair of Pharmaceutical Biology at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU). He holds an ERC Starting Grant (2020), and his research looks for new biogenic routes against infectious and inflammatory diseases and characterises new natural products.
