Melting Ice with Very Expensive Lasers with Marjorie Ladd Parada
About the guest
Marjorie Ladd Parada is a Researcher at Stockholm University, Sweden, studying the structure and dynamics of amorphous ice and supercooled water at large X-ray facilities, sometimes with lasers too. Her PhD applied fast field cycling NMR to cocoa butter for the first time. She studied food technology in Mexico and worked in industry R&D before a master’s in the UK.
Marjorie Ladd Parada curated the Real Scientists Nano Twitter account (@RealSci_Nano) from April 12 to April 18 2021. Read all of Marjorie’s tweets from that week.
