Growing Nanoparticles with Magnets ft. Steve Maguire
About the guest
Steve Maguire is a Staff Scientist at SNOLAB in Canada and runs Science Isn’t Scary. During his MSc at the University of Ottawa, he found a quick, simple way to make silver nanoparticles with UV light, producing a better product than earlier photosynthesis methods; his former group built a research area on those first experiments.
Steve Maguire curated the Real Scientists Nano Twitter account (@RealSci_Nano) from October 28 to November 2 2019. Read all of Steve’s tweets from that week.
