Glowy Things and Why They Glow with Lea Nienhaus
About the guest
Lea Nienhaus is an Assistant Professor at Florida State University, USA, working to use more of the solar spectrum by understanding emerging semiconductors and converting light between wavelengths. Her group created a perovskite-sensitised upconversion device that absorbs 800 nm red light and emits 600 nm yellow light. She studied at the University of Ulm, did her PhD at UIUC and a postdoc at MIT.
Lea Nienhaus curated the Real Scientists Nano Twitter account (@RealSci_Nano) from May 16 to May 22 2022. Read all of Lea’s tweets from that week.
