Dancing Light at Nanoscale with Siva Shakthi
About the guest
Siva Shakthi is a PhD student in Physics at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Thiruvananthapuram, India, working in microwave photonics using nonlinear optical processes in single-mode optical fibres. The work includes notch filters and optical switches for optical communication, and the observation of a tunable Fano effect in Brillouin scattering spectra. Siva holds a Bachelor’s in Physics and an MSc in Physics specialising in laser science.
Siva Shakthi curated the Real Scientists Nano Twitter account (@RealSci_Nano) from January 19 to January 25 2020. Read all of Siva’s tweets from that week.
