These terms govern the sale of digital products — resource kits, guides and templates — through pranoti.thesciencetalk.com. They apply to consumers and to business customers. Please read section 6 carefully: it explains why the 14-day right of withdrawal ends as soon as you download the product.

1. Seller

Dr. Pranoti Kshirsagar, E7, 8, 68159 Mannheim, Germany. Email: pranoti@thesciencetalk.com. Full details are in the Imprint.

2. What is being sold

Each product page describes the product, its format, and its contents. Products are digital content supplied as a download — typically PDF documents and templates. They are not physical goods, and no physical item is shipped.

Product pages describe the materials and the methods they explain. They do not guarantee any particular outcome, such as a funded grant application or a specific business result.

3. Formation of the contract

The product page is an invitation to purchase, not a binding offer. You make a binding offer by completing checkout and paying. The contract is formed when we confirm the order and provide access to the download. The contract language is English.

We do not store the individual contract text in a way that makes it separately retrievable by you after the purchase. Please save your order confirmation email.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are stated on each product page in euros and include statutory VAT where applicable.

Payment is processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., Dublin, Ireland. Checkout takes place on Stripe’s own pages under Stripe’s terms and privacy policy. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Available payment methods are shown at checkout.

5. Delivery

The download is made available immediately after payment is confirmed, by download link on the confirmation page and by email to the address you provide at checkout. Delivery is electronic only.

If the link does not arrive within one hour, check your spam folder and then email pranoti@thesciencetalk.com. Access will be restored at no charge.

6. Right of withdrawal and its early expiry

Consumers in the EU have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days, without giving a reason.

However, under Art. 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU (implemented in Germany as § 356(5) BGB), that right expires for digital content not supplied on a tangible medium once performance has begun, provided that:

  1. you have given your express prior consent to us beginning performance before the withdrawal period expires; and
  2. you have acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal; and
  3. we have provided you with confirmation of that agreement.

Accordingly, at checkout you are asked to confirm the following before payment:

I understand this is a digital download with no refunds after purchase.

By ticking this box, you are expressly requesting that we begin performance before the withdrawal period ends, and acknowledging that your right of withdrawal is lost once the download begins.

If you do not give that confirmation, your 14-day right of withdrawal remains intact and you may withdraw using the model form below.

Withdrawal instructions

To withdraw, inform us by a clear statement — for example an email to pranoti@thesciencetalk.com — of your decision to withdraw. The period is 14 days from the day the contract was concluded. Sending the notification before the period expires is sufficient.

If you withdraw, we refund all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day we receive your notification, using the same means of payment you used, at no charge to you.

Model withdrawal form

To: Dr. Pranoti Kshirsagar, E7, 8, 68159 Mannheim, Germany, pranoti@thesciencetalk.com

I/We () hereby give notice that I/We () withdraw from my/our (*) contract for the supply of the following digital content: ______________

Ordered on: ______________ Name of consumer(s): ______________ Address of consumer(s): ______________ Signature (only if this form is notified on paper): ______________ Date: ______________

(*) Delete as appropriate.

7. Licence and permitted use

On payment you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual licence for a single user, to use the product for your own professional or personal purposes, including within your own research or grant applications.

You may not: resell, sublicense, share, publish or otherwise distribute the product or substantial extracts from it; upload it to a shared drive, repository, course platform or file-sharing service accessible to others; or use it to create a competing product for sale.

Team or institutional licences are available on request — email pranoti@thesciencetalk.com.

All copyright and other intellectual property rights in the products remain with Dr. Pranoti Kshirsagar.

8. Conformity and statutory rights

The statutory rules on the conformity of digital content (§§ 327 ff. BGB, implementing Directive (EU) 2019/770) apply. If a product is defective — for example, a corrupted or incomplete file — you are entitled to have it brought into conformity, and to a price reduction or termination where that fails. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

9. Updates

Where a product page states that free updates are included, updated versions are sent to the email address used at purchase for the period stated. Where no such statement is made, you purchase the version current at the time of the order.

10. Liability

We are liable without limitation for damage arising from injury to life, body or health, for intent and gross negligence, under the Product Liability Act, and to the extent we have given a guarantee.

For slight negligence, we are liable only for breach of a material contractual obligation — an obligation whose fulfilment makes proper performance of the contract possible in the first place, and on whose fulfilment you may regularly rely — and in that case limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract.

The products are informational materials. They do not constitute legal, financial or tax advice, and do not replace the official guidance of any funding body. Decisions you take on the basis of them remain your own.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Where you are a consumer habitually resident in another EU Member State, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.

12. Dispute resolution

The European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform closed on 20 July 2025. We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

13. Severability

If any provision of these terms is or becomes invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions is unaffected.
