Why I still write blog posts in 2026
and how Claude does the heavy lifting.
Hellooo!
How are you doing? I’m not trying tobe polite. I really want to know. How ARE you doing - What’s bothering you today at this very moment? Maybe I can help you.
I’ll go first. I’ve been enjoying writing blogposts. This is a great way for me to structure my thoughts, pause and reflect. So far so good. Idea to writing is the part I love. 🧡
The part I don’t love? Everything that comes after the writing.
But here’s what comes after the writing - The formatting in WordPress. The meta descriptions. The focus keywords. The SEO title. The design elements. The interlinking. You know, the operational stuff that turns a finished draft into a published post.
Text is one of the oldest forms of communication.
Science communication included.
I’ve been writing perspectives on The Science Talk for the past year, and here’s what it’s given me: stronger SEO, a growing portfolio of thought leadership pieces, and a consistent way to share my perspectives with the community. Writing blog posts has become one of my favourite parts of the work.
As a solopreneur, I can’t just stop at the blog post. There’s still the podcast to edit, the email to write, the video to record. So optimising this workflow has been on my mind for months.
I finally did it.
Here’s my workflow now: I have the idea. I write my draft in Google Docs or Notes. I fine-tune it with Claude. Claude creates the HTML. And now — because I connected Claude Desktop to my self-hosted WordPress site through an MCP server — Claude also posts it directly to WordPress as a draft.
The creative work stays with me. The operational work? Claude handles it.
That’s 1–2 hours saved every week. As a solopreneur, I’ll take every hour I can get. 💪
If you want to connect your own WordPress site to Claude and optimise your workflow from idea to published post, I wrote the full step-by-step guide with every gotcha I hit along the way.
Cheers,
Pranoti
