I can and I will

I didn’t want to write this email. But that won’t be fair to you.

I don’t like posting on social media. I feel a knot in my stomach. My right shoulder blade gets stiff. And so I asked ChatGPT to take care of it.

“Build me a strategy based on my context.”

I was impressed by the output. Solid advice, well structured, sounded great on paper. But when I looked closer, it was generic, hollow and didn’t sound like me at all.

Here’s why: AI tools are trained on the data fed into them. Their output is only as good as the input. There’s tonnes of personal branding information out there. But how much of it is designed for scientists? None.

This is why I created “Personal Branding for Scientists, in the age of AI” workshop. Not tactics. Not platform tips. Not AI-generated content calendars. Foundations first.

Foundations:

✓ Career goals (the real ones, measurable)
✓ Audience mapping (who actually needs to hear from you)
✓ Personal brand statement (adapted for different audiences)
✓ Platform strategy (so you’re not wasting time)
✓ How to use AI properly (to accelerate, not replace)

This is what I teach in my workshop. The stuff ChatGPT doesn’t know because there’s no training data for it.

Ways to cover your registration costs👇

In most cases, your employer covers the cost of my Personal Branding Workshop as this counts as career development and soft-skill training.

If you’re a postdoc funded under the MSCA funding line of the European Commission then you get around € 1000 per month for these types of activities. So make sure you use this money to learn skills you need to thrive in academia.

If you’re a PhD researcher, then check with your supervisor or professor and they’ll help you with reimbursing the costs.

I need your help!
